2 hours into construction

It took two hours to cut the ribs, set up the jig and assemble the frame.
Few things to note:
1) spars and leading edge support are spruce. Spruce is much stronger AND does not bow or twist like a typical balsa stick.
2) 1/8 x 3/8 is an overkill for this size model. 1/8 square stock is perfectly adequate and as light as a typical 1/4 balsa stock traditionally used for this type of construction.

Steve, what a simple, functioning jig system!  I would ask a favor. Where did you get the L fixtures? It looks like they would be available at a box store. Like the model very much. How about basswood for those spars and LE? Easier to obtain for me.

Wing jig was made by CLC hobbies which no longer in business. I bought it back when I didn't have any means of making jigs. If I were to do it again, I'd make one out of wood.
